The scene you included ‘I see pride! I see power!”) is one of my family’s all-time favourite scenes in any movie! We quote it constantly, along with ‘I am feeling very Olympic today. How about you?”
Well, Noha, its good to be quoted. I like the "olympic" line too. Only thing i didn't write is "you dead mon" which people also love. And i didn't come up with the names. It was a re-write but a major one.
Never in my wildest childhood dreams did I ever think I’d cross paths — “virtually” wasn’t really a thing yet, or else I’d use the phrase “virtually or otherwise” — with the writer of my favorite movie, “Cool Runnings.” I’ve been studying screenwriting for about four or five years as part of a group that meets monthly and critiques scripts, but I’d love any insight dropped from your divinely good mind. I read a couple of your other pieces, about your addiction and about recommending-twelve-step programs but with a weird feeling about it, and I’m just pleased you’re here!
so I'm a little stuck on one part of my script I've been working on for over 10 years.
if you could help my question is...how do you write a screen play..actually better yet, how do you write at all.😘
Get off Suboxone.
get off pork!
I meant that's how you write a screenplay...wasn't general advice...and I've gone vegan.
and I will...tomorrow.
Great scene, great idea
Sending to family kids who’ve been told not to pursue creative careers.
Thanks Patris

Why is it one of your favourite scenes?

I'll answer your question next weds. Thanks for asking.
Looking forward to it!
Looking forward to it.
I look forward to reading these.
Then you better ask one because the interest seems pretty thin so far.
Can you please finish the short film screenplay I committed to completing a month ago?
Tell me about it. At 62 I've come to the conclusion that finishing things is a profound spiritual practice and not finishing, bad for the soul.
Wonderful, just wonderful.

You did the right thing Tom. After all how many poets get to build swimming pools in the yard.
