I visited Peru in 2000 and the two words of english every kid knew was Michael Jordan. Ambassador indeed.

thanks for this, Tommy. it bears some of the vibe from the films you mentioned.

also, glad you had the experience you did in Pasay. back when i was traveling more, i tended to miss or ignore the memos about which places to avoid. i got me into big trouble in more than one favela.
